A discreet audio solution

This is a product design that I saw in the Icon magazine online.
Now technology has moved on so far such as iPod's taking over the MP3 market. It has been difficult to provide stylish but suitable accesories in places such as hotel rooms for entertainment within music. Cars have adapated through this by adding auxillery ports into the dashboards allowing people to use their iPod, mp3 players and phones to play music. This design shows how a ipod dock or auxillery cable can be used against a wall, small and discreet but still perfectly suitable. The image shown makes me think it would work perfectly in a hotel scenario on the wall next to the bed making it perfect as people staying at the hotel would be able to listen to their own music with ease.

Inspiring!

Just saw this typography on Behance Network and found it very inspiring not only is the image created fantastic but the words themselves are so true! For an idea to pull through, you must believe in it yourself! Without your own belief in something how can u expect to make others believe in your own ideas. I feel the more work i put into a project the more believable to becomes to me so I guess for me thats my own way for making myself believe in my own ideas.

Cobra Sports Office Chair

Found this in the Icon magazine, thought it was a great idea combining really comfy sport chairs with an office chair. It kind of brings out fun within the office for sporty car loving people. Granted the price is over the 1,000 mark but still if I had the money i would definitely have to own one of these, it would make me want to work just so i could sit in it! With many customizable parts to the chair it means ergonomically the chair is perfect making comfort at work simple.

Dyson release new Limited Edition models

Dyson

Whilst looking through Wallpaper design magazine I noticed in the technology pages that Dyson have released  2 new models in Limited Edition. Why would a product such as a hoover appeal more to customers simply because its limited edition? I can see that the Dyson hoover stand out more to public simply because of their elegant looks and innovation. Dyson have taken over the hoover industry for a long period of time being one of the first makes to remove the bag within a hoover. Now it seems Dyson are so popular they believe people willl want to own limited edition hoovers? In my opinion this is a step too far for a product such as a hoover, a simple household appliance. I don't understand why someone would want to own a limited edition item for something they find a chore to do? Hoovering in my opinion is not something people enjoy so why spend more money to get something that stands out.

Hand made fonts

i'm really interested in typography and fonts and found this really inspiring especially the bananas. I just like how by looking at this is becomes obvious that anything can be used to create a font or some form of message.

I really enjoy finding new innotive ways of creating pieces of work. These are the kinds of things that inspire me the most just because of how different it is. To me the smarties below make this image just more fun that i could have been any other way, they just seem to make it that little bit more entertaining.

YouTube's new look hated?

Recently YouTube released an entire new layout which to me looks a whole lot more proffesional and well layed out with your subscriptions down one side allowing you to quickly view channels but also see the latest released videos and recommended videos. However due to this huge change YouTube's fans according to BBC News left over 6,000 dislikes on the new layout hating how things had been removed such as before it was simple to see what videos your subscriptions had released yet it now takes one simple click to see them? For me this is like Facebook change all over again as people hate it when its first released but then grow to like it and then realize that its better than it was before. People just seem to hate sudden change when it comes to something they use every day. I'm a regular YouTube user and in my opinion its just a case of getting used to and then it will become appreciated the hard work that YouTube have put in to improve there ever growing website.

Concepts for a wearable phone

A simple design that I just found on one of the design sites I regular look at that really caught my eye. I really like the way it appears like a decorative arm piece similar to the project we have earlier been working on with the wearable time piece yet it involves everything. From a phone to a small games console! As an arm piece to me it even looks appealing I could imagine people wearing it as a fashion piece showing off new technology similar to how people flash there new phones around.

Facebook - Mark Zuckerberg

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b017ywty/Mark_Zuckerberg_Inside_Facebook/

I watched this documentary on Mark Zuckerberg tonight about how Facebook is advancing more and more each year. We all know that today's society has changed remarkably due to Facebook but i never realized until watching this how much it was due to Facebook. this documentary shows how it has become an advertising beacon for all business whether small or big no matter what they are. Facebook easily and quickly allows people to begin talking about them through liking pages and being forced to represent these companies without realising it as our pictures are posted on other friends walls linking them to companies we have involved ourselves with whether through a like, comment and so on. Facebook is now very similar to Google in making it self a gold mine for advertisements! In 2007 Mark Zuckerberg unbelievably turned down a 15 Billion dollar offer from Microsoft to sell Facebook, it is now thought that eventually Facebook will be worth up 100 Billion dollars due to advertisements and popularity. Each day more people are joining facebook causing it to be a part of our lives in how we involve ourselves with family, friends and society. Facebook is growing at a scary rate changing the world as we know it!
